500 years ago I went to a writing workshop--one of those 2-day training events for business people. I had already been working as a writer/editor for 5 or 6 years at the time. This was one of those “career development” opportunities your boss tosses at you just to get you out of the office for a few days.

My thriller, Point of Presence, debuted on Amazon on Christmas eve. That's a milestone, for sure, given that I started writing the book almost 6 years ago, in March of 2007. There are plenty of stories to tell about writing a novel and getting it published, and I intend to tell a few of the unexpected ones here. The entire experience--the end-to-end process--was much more complicated and detailed than I thought it would be.
